Q.  Is it a good idea for me to take the Mock Test the NAVHDA Chapter I'm testing with is holding a few weeks prior to the Test?

A.  Yes, definitely! At a Mock Test there will be several other people with dogs, a gallery of people watching, and mock judges to give the puppy and handler a realistic experience. There will be people there with lots of testing experience who can give you feedback on both you and your puppy's "performance" and tips on how to improve your score on Test day. Since the Mock Test is a few weeks prior to the actual Test, you'll have plenty of time to tune up those areas where you and your puppy are lacking. It will also help to relax you a bit on Test day to have run through an entire Test. Pups and handlers that have taken a well-run Mock Test on the actual test grounds have a huge advantage on Test day.
