IntCH Brush Dale's Drama Queen (Reagan) was born on January 24, 2019 as part of Brush Dale's DD Litter. IntCH Brush Dale He's Got Game (Ike) and her dam is IntCH/NatCH Brush Dale's Killer Cute (Molly). Reagan is owned by Dan and Linda Olstad of Nolensville, TN.
Reagan earned her International Champion title for conformation on 02/11/2024. Reagan has a clean, shiny, coat with good texture. Her coat is correct for a Small Munsterlander. She has well-angled, strong front and back quarters; a correct, well-set tail; alert, dark brown eyes; and a pleasant, balanced head. Reagan weighs 42 lbs and is at the low end of the height requirement for a Small Munsterlander.
THE HUNTRESS
ReaganReagan is a natural in the field. She received a maximum score in her NAVHDA Natural Ability Test despite her owner/handler being a first timer at the NA Test. As her owner likes to say, she came pre-assembled. At the Test, one of the field judges even said, "you’ve got a really good dog there," as the day was wrapping up. During the Test we were worried she was not doing well as the judges seemed to make their decisions very quickly when watching her. In hindsight, it was because they could see very quickly she was right on task.
Reagan primarily hunts pheasants in North Dakota for 6+ weeks a year. Reagan is a natural retriever, hunts at a distance of 40-100 yards, depending upon cover, naturally checks back, and recalls easily to a beep or whistle (unless she is on a running pheasant, which she will work tirelessly to pin down). When retrieving, she delights in bringing birds back to her owner, even if she has to pass by other hunters and swim across water to do so. Many of the folks that have hunted with her find this amusing, but are also impressed with her ability to find roosters that have run sometimes more than a hundred yards after being downed. Reagan seems to pick everything up easily with only modest exposure and positive encouragement. She is a well-rounded hunter - searching tirelessly, pointing and retrieving naturally, tracking downed birds like a hound - all while being extremely cooperative.
THE HOUSEPET
ReaganAround the house, Reagan is a joy. She wants nothing more than to be with her family. She is sweet, quiet (rarely barks), calm-yet-playful, and gets along great with other people, kids, dogs, and cats. She is small enough that she can get away with curling up in your lap, which she loves to do. While she craves companionship, she is calm and comfortable being left uncrated when alone.
THE HOMEMAKER
While Reagan has yet to have her first litter, we expect her to be an excellent mother given her disposition. In her previous heat cycles she regularly carried around toys and curled up with them (her favorites being little hippos and donuts) as her motherly instincts would naturally kick in about 9 weeks afterwards.
