IntCH/NatCH Brush Dale's Take Aim (Jackson) was whelped at Brush Dale on 04/27/2017 as part of the T Litter. Jackson's sire is IntCH Brush Dale's Doggone Right (Scout) and his dam is IntCH Brush Dale's Escape Artist (Bella). Jackson is owned by Jason Munson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Jackson is very involved in NAVHDA. Jackson earned a NA 106 Prize 1, UPT 143 Prize 3 and UT 192 Prize 1. Jackson ran in the 2022 Invitational.
Jackson earned five V-1 (Superior) ratings from the judges at his IABCA conformation show, qualifying him for both National and International Championship titles. Jackson has a beautiful, correct coat for a Small Munsterlander with good feathering. He weighs approximately 50lbs and is very well-conditioned.
In the field, Jackson is an energetic hunter. His style is very fluid and looks effortless. He can cover a lot of ground in short order. When grouse or quail hunting, he will cover 20+ miles a day, multiple days in a row. In the heavier pheasant cover, he shortens up his range and is very methodical. Like most Munsters, Jackson is an excellent tracker with laut on fur. He is steady to wing, shot and fall and honors point. He is a great natural retriever, making his formal retrieve training very easy. Jackson took to water right away and was swimming with his older brother as soon as we brought him home.
During our NAVHDA Pheasant Championship, he was sent on a slightly wounded bird. The bird ended up flying across a road into another field. Jackson was out of site for about 10 minutes. He returned after crossing two barbed-wire fences and gravel road with that pheasant.
At home, Jackson is pretty easy to get along with. He's not very motivated by food, so he can free-feed and still keep a healthy weight. He's the most affectionate dog we've owned - definitely a people-person. He must be on the couch next to you or on your lap in a chair. He's a 50-pound lap dog who sleeps in our bedroom.
Jack likes a routine and needs to have training or off-lead exercise most every day to maintain calmness in the house. He has a bedtime. When it gets to be his bedtime, he will stare at you until you follow him to bed. If Jackson thinks there is even the possibility of doing something fun, he turns into a crazy dog, jumping up and down and barking.
Jackson is a dream to train and never tires of it. He is very attentive and wants to please. The only thing he likes more is hunting.
